The Wanganui-Manawatu Gliding Club operates from Feilding Aerodrome (NZFI). This is located at Taonui, between Bunnythorpe and Feilding on the northeast side of the main trunk railway. The clubhouse is located just past the first two hangars to the left of the main entrance.
When flying is in progress there is a buff coloured caravan on the airfield at the launch point. Visitors should park their cars in the central car park and call the club contact number (027) 939 3920 to arrange an escort to the operations caravan. Do not proceed outside the carpark unescorted as the airfield is Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) controlled operational area. Non-adherance may result in personal danger, prosecution and substantial CAA imposed financial penalties.
